Bruce wasn't crazy about parties at the manor. Most took place at night, and that was the time when Batman patrolled. Still, he was Bruce Wayne, and like Batman, Bruce had his share of obligations. He had to play the role of the friendly, generous host. Still, he almost welcomed any major criminal activity to get him away from all this. Stepping down in his tuxedo, he already saw that the guests had arrived and that Alfred was serving them. He loved Alfred Pennyworth. The man was more than a servant. He was family, and he was always there for both Bruce Wayne and Batman. He raised Bruce for a good portion of his childhood, and despite his occasional humorous criticisms, he was dedicated to helping keep Bruce on the right path. One thing Bruce enjoyed about his parties were that most of them were fundraisers for the various charities he was involved in. Along with the generous donations he gave, these parties allowed others to give as well. Funding charities and youth organizations meant less children on the street and therefore less children growing up to be criminals. Bruce greeted several guests, among them big business owners and politicians, before looking around to see if he could spot any of his fellow heroes "posing" as their alter egos.

Dick sipped his glass of extremely watered down champagne, gazing around at the various guests that were prancing around his childhood home as if they owned the place. He’d always found these parties extremely boring. He remembered the first one he had attended. That was the night he finally understood the concept of getting bored to death.
He’d been answering various questions about himself all night. Why was he back in Gotham? Did he lose anyone in the Bludhaven disaster? Was he still a cop? What shampoo did he use? Blah blah blah. He would just grin charmingly, answer the question vaguely, and then turn the subject around like an expert.
He remembered a distinct party when he was ten. He had tried to hook his music player up to the stereo system, you know, to give the party some real tunes and actually have some real fun, but Alfred had caught him and dragged him back out to be cooed over by all of the female guests.
At least he wasn’t being cooed at by women anymore. Now they’d just try to get laid with him. The flirting was fun most of the time, but after a while it got annoying when they kept following him everywhere and hanging onto his arm. He couldn’t believe Bruce actually wanted women to do that just to keep up his image. The man was crazy sometimes.
He walked over to stand by Alfred in one of the corners of the room. He grinned slyly as he joked. “The only way I could possibly enjoy this party was if someone slipped a roofie into my drink.” Alfred’s only response was a cocked eyebrow and slightly disapproving glance. Dick just smiled and patted his grandfather-figure on the back before walking back into the midst of the party. He had to play the role of good ward.
He blinked when a woman draped herself over him suddenly. He didn’t recognize her and she was, despite her attempt to hide it with a large amount of make-up, at least ten years older than him. Gross.
“Richie Grayson?”
“Um, yeah?”
“Hi, I’m Sue!”
Here we go again.

Bruce cracked a small smile as he say Dick with Sue. His former sidekick did not look too overjoyed by her or anything else about this party. Still, he was glad Dick was back. He missed this member of what lovingly came to be known as the "Bat-Family". After all, Dick was the first who Batman accepted as a partner in crime-fighting... well aside from Alfred and Commissioner Gordon, but they were a different story.
He stepped over to Alfred, who was watching Dick as well. Alfred dryly, but jokingly told him that Dick required a roofie. Bruce laughed at this.
"After dealing with villains like the Scarecrow and Poison Ivy, I'd think Dick would be the last one who would want to be drugged," whispered Bruce back. He then walked over to Dick and patted him on the shoulder.
"Hello, Sue, how have you been?" he asked the girl first. He then turned to Dick. "Good to see you're mingling with the guests. You looked like you were about to fall asleep earlier." One thing that he always loved about being Bruce Wayne was being able to straight-up joke around with Dick and Tim.

THE TRIP TO GOTHAM
[/b] had taken much longer than Bart Allen would have liked. Sure, it would have been considered fast to most, but certainly not a speedster like himself. But hey, contrary to popular belief, not every villain was migrating to Gotham. Some saw, with the heroes popping up in the dark and gloomy city, easy pickings elsewhere. Especially petty thieves. He had had to stop several times to stop a robbery. If Kid Flash wasn't a name vastly known in America, his sore limbs were sure it was now. Gosh, he needed a recharge. Sp, what better place than Wayne Manor? Even if Bruce was there and possibly not in the greatest of moods, he was sure Alfred would feed him, and possibly Dick, if he was there. His feet zipped him quickly to Wayne Manor, where he paused briefly as he saw cars outside. Were they having a party? He quickly contemplated the idea. A party equaled free food, and as a costumed crime fighter, surely Bruce WYne wouldn't be able to resist him as a 'honored guest'. After all, in a room full of rich people, wouldn't he be the celebrity? He was from the future, though civilians didn't know that. Within a split second, he has his mind made up. Crashing a party had always sounded fun, and food sounded great to his growling stomach. The teenager burst into the building at a run, skidding to a halt as he swung his arms out and grinned.[/color] "The fun has arrived!" He shot Dick a grin as his eyes found him and gave Bruce a nervous smile, hoping the old Bat wouldn't bite his head off later for this. He made sure to run up to everyone, saying hi to them in his own hyperactive way. Eventually he stopped and slung an arm across Dick's shoulder, though he had to go on his tip-toes a bit. "Say, got any good food?"[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]

Dick turned his attention from Sue to Bruce when the older man approached. Sue blinked and smiled a mega-watt smile.
“Hi, Brucie, I’m good!” Dick vaguely wondered if she said anything without an exclamation mark.
He rolled his eyes, but smiled anyways at Bruce’s joke. “Haven’t you heard? It’s past my bedtime.” He was about to make another joke about how he wasn’t much of a night person- one that only Bruce would’ve gotten, but that was the point –when the doors burst open in a familiar style that most would’ve thought was caused by a gust of wind. He did jump slightly, before turning to face Bart. His face held sincere surprise. He wasn’t surprised at the fact that Bart was in Gotham; he figured it was only a matter of time since Wally had arrived. He was more surprised by the fact that Bart was here at the manor crashing the party. Although, he really shouldn’t have been all that surprised. The boy hadn’t gone by the name “Impulse” for nothing.
He blinked once as Bart sped up to him and put an arm around his shoulder. Dick had three options here; fanboy, which wouldn’t have made much sense with a man his age going fanboy over a teenager; oblivious playboy, but that was already taken by Bruce; or a guy who sincerely appreciated the work of heroes, but wasn’t sure what to do with Kid Flash running around.
“Um, yeah. There are some caterers walking around.” He hoped that Bart also realized that the drinks being served were alcoholic. A drunk speedster wasn’t on Dick’s list of situations to deal with.
Well, on the bright side, this party just got a lot more interesting.

Bruce sighed a bit at Bart's interest. He liked the kid well enough. He liked Wally as well, despite his constant goofiness. Still, he was none too happy with Bart showing his powers off in front of everyone, and hope the kid didn't start calling Bruce and Dick "Batman and Nightwing" in front of everyone. Still, he saw the look of optimism on Dick's face and decided the kid could stay around...if he behaved. The two younger gentlemen could talk while Bruce walked over and conversed with the mayor.
"Good to see you again, Bart," he said, patting the boy on the shoulder. "Feel free to eat whatever you want. I'd lay off the sweets though." Bruce then leaned over to whisper to Dick. "Please keep him occupied before he knocks over something expensive and gives Alfred a heart attack."
Bruce then headed away to talk to the mayor.

BART INSTINCTIVELY FLINCHED AS
[/b] Bruce patted him on the shoulder. It was purely out of habit, after all he wasn't really sure if the man was happy to see him there, especially in costume. He raised an eyebrow as Bruce left, looking over at Dick.[/color] "The mayor? Should I go meet him too?" He asked with a grin, waiting a second or two before ultimately not giving the older vigilante a chance to respond. "Kidding! Ha, had you there for a second, didn't I? Don't worry, I won't bug your mayor... Say is Wally coming?" The last part was asked more quietly than the first. After all, he knew he was drawing attention to himself and he didn't want to give away Flash's secret ID.
He kept an arm resting on Dick's shoulder, playfully leaning ever-so-slightly against him. He faintly tapped a finger or two against the man's shoulder, becoming bored. Wasn't there anything to do at the manor? He figured he could zip to the cave without raising too much question, but surely people would eventually notice he was gone. He huffed to himself before his eyes widened as he saw one of the caterers. He ran over, soon by the woman's side, causing her to jump and let out a small, startled noise. She looked at him like he had just scared the living daylights out of her.
Kid Flash really didn't notice, however, as he quickly grabbed the glass she had on her tray. He noticed a look like oh crap go onto her face and looked at the glass. It was tall and slim, with an almost clear liquid in it. He groaned and put it back. Alcohol. Didn't they have anything for him? He glanced around, trying to remember where the kitchen was. Then again, he could go find it... He turned to Dick. "I'll be right back, gotta get some food!" He announced before running off to search the manor.[/size][/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]

Dick smirked as Bruce told Bart to lay off the sweets. Yeah, that was probably for the greater good of everyone in the room. His smirk increased when Bruce whispered to him.
“No prob,” he assured, winking. One of his best friends was a speedster, so how difficult could this be? He blinked when Bart asked if he should see the mayor.
“Um, I don’t think-” but the kid was just joking. Dick lightly swatted Bart upside the head. “Ha ha.” He didn’t know if Wally was coming, but he would certainly not complain if he did. That would make this party actually worth it. He shrugged. “I don’t know.”
He let the kid keep an arm on his shoulder. He had already drived off Sue, which Dick was thankful for. He opened his mouth to ask Bart a question, but when he looked he was gone. He looked around the room. Had he lost him already? Bruce would metaphorically kill him.
Luckily, he spotted Bart only a few people away from him, scaring a caterer. He made his way over to the speedster, picking up pace when he saw Bart grab a glass of alcohol. He was about ready to go football-star and tackle the kid, when he thankfully put the glass back. He let out a silent breath of relief.
But then the kid was running off again, this time in search of food. “Bar- Kid Flash!” He reached to stop Bart, but the speedster was already gone. He looked around to see most of the guests were still staring. He grinned impishly, before walking off to look for the kid.
