Does the recent reboot for DC Comics take place here?

No, the comic reboot for DC does not take place here. Here on DC: ABD, our timeline will take place after One Year Later and rewrite all canon arcs proceeding that arc.

Will we be expected to know all about Arkham City even if we haven't played it?

A thorough knowledge of the game isn't necessary to RP here. Just know that both Blackgate Penitentiary and Arkham Asylum inmates are allowed free roaming abilities within the walls of Arkham City.

What is the plot of the board?

We currently do not have a site-wide plot in place. Currently, the creation of Arkham City is causing a great deal of havoc both in and out of the inmate hotbed. It is drawing a large numbers of criminals from around the country and globe to Gotham. This with it brings all the heroes to follow and help Bruce and the Bat family protect the innocent people of Gotham.

Will we be allowed to use the new looks for characters, or even the video game looks for our characters?

Yes, you may use the new, rebooted looks of all the characters if they are available. You may also use any video game images that might be available from the Batman games or Mortal Kombat vs DC.
